ANDREY “SID” SILKIN — MUSICIAN, PRODUCER & SONGWRITER
Two decades between the bass, the beat, and the words. Andrey started out in the punk clubs of Ashdod and has spent every project since chasing the same raw energy through new sounds — now built alone, track by track, under the name Ethera / Void.
It started in the DIY punk scene. Andrey picked up the bass and started writing songs as a member of the Ashdod punk band Zona Porazheniya, cutting his teeth in a small, loud, and fiercely independent scene that shaped everything that followed.
The bass followed him into a new outfit, Volchya Yagoda, carrying the same punk instincts into a different sound.
Today it’s a solo project, start to finish — bass, beats, production, and lyrics all handled alone. The sound has grown into something harder to pin down: jungle breaks, industrial weight, techno drive, and post-punk attitude, folded into one voice.
